Danielle Hunter, an outside linebacker with the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League, was born on October 29, 1994, in Jamaica. He participated in collegiate football at LSU. He went 88th overall in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

When he was 8 years old, Hunter, who was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, immigrated to the US. He attended Morton Ranch High School in Katy, Texas, a suburb of Houston, where he was raised. He was enrolled in youth football after a coach saw him playing tag with a child who was attempting to flee on roller skates.

Even though his poor wide receiver tryout performance forced him to play defensive end for the first time as a freshman, he coached his football team to their first Class 5A State Playoff berth as a junior. He recorded 63 tackles and seven sacks during his junior season.

In addition to 30 quarterback pressures, 11 tackles for losses, four sacks, and four pass breakups as a senior, he also caught four passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. In his final high school game against Lamar High School, he had 16 stops. Throughout his time in high school, Hunter made 108 total tackles.
