A Russian Instagram model, who allegedly wears a size “triple-zero,” is hitting back at critics of her teeny waist.
Maria Pogrebnyak-Shatalova, a 30-year-old mother of three, has been under fire for an Instagram post measuring her 23-inch waist that she shared with her 625,000 followers.
The video was quickly flooded with comments accusing her of having an eating disorder or going under the knife.
But Pogrebnyak-Shatalova, who goes by Maria Poga on Instagram, said the suggestions about her taut figure are far from the truth.
“Prior to giving birth I worked out all the time, and thought if I am working out I can eat anything I want, I am killing myself at a gym,” Pogrebnyak-Shatalova said, according to The Mirror.
The mom said that after her first two pregnancies, her waist was about 26 inches, but then she began eating healthier.
“Only after three pregnancies, did I manage to control my will and start eating healthy,” she said.
Now, the fitness enthusiast said that she’s “happy about my victories.”
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the average waist circumference for adult women ages 20 and older in the U.S. is 37.5 inches.
